How to Track a Train by SMS in Bangladesh
You can find out where a Bangladesh Railway train is from any mobile phone, without internet, by sending an SMS. This is Bangladesh Railway's own service.
TR 705send to16318Open the messaging app on your phone.
Type TR, a space, then the train number — for Suborno Express: TR 701.
Send the message to 16318.
The reply SMS tells you the train's current location and delay.
A charge applies to each SMS (usually about ৳4 + VAT) — check the exact charge with your mobile operator. The SMS goes to Bangladesh Railway's service, not to Train Tracker.
Where to find the train number
The train number is printed on your ticket. If you do not know it, look it up in the list of trains.
Train location online
The Train Tracker live map shows all running trains at once. Unless passengers share their position or report the train at a station, positions are estimated from the timetable.
